I first saw a bamboo handbag last summer when my daughter-in-law was carrying one. Now, they are everywhere! So I grabbed a black one and I think it looks fun and fresh for this second half of summer.  I use little cosmetic bags inside so no one can see exactly what I am carrying (as if they want to see what is in my purse!).  And, it doesn’t break the bank.
